Claims Specialist We are seeking a highly skilled Claims Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for minimizing our clients' risk and legal exposure. Your main responsibility will be to manage the full lifecycle of each case, from data collection and investigation to coordination with insurance providers and legal advisors. You will also support risk prevention initiatives by promoting a safe work environment through training and continuous improvement. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication to protect the client's legal interests and ensure the operational safety of the entire organization. Key Responsibilities: - Manage workers' compensation cases from inception to resolution, including claim reporting, coordination with insurance carriers and third-party administrators, and direct communication with injured employees, managers, medical providers, and other key stakeholders. - Oversee medical treatment plans for injured employees, ensuring appropriate and timely care to support optimal recovery, while collaborating with physicians, providers, and the client's legal team on litigated cases. - Conduct thorough investigations of workplace incidents, document findings, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions or safety improvements to prevent future occurrences. - Administer general and auto liability claims, including gathering relevant information, coordinating with insurance carriers, external counsel, and all involved parties from initial reporting through final resolution. - Collaborate closely with the client's Legal Department in the management of litigated claims, providing documentation, follow-up, and ongoing support in coordination with internal and external legal counsel. Requirements: - 1 to 3 years of experience in claims handling, workers' compensation, insurance, or related risk management functions. - Bachelor's degree preferred in Business Administration, Law, Human Resources, Occupational Safety, or a related field. - Preferred prior experience interacting with insurance carriers, medical providers, or legal departments. - Knowledge of OSHA regulations or similar workplace safety standards is a plus.
