As Head of Marketing, LAC, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and executing all aspects of the marketing programs focusing on creating awareness, demand, and engagement related to Blackboard’s products and services for both existing clients and prospects across Latin America and Caribbean (LAC). There is also a key focus on retaining our existing clients within this region. Reporting to the Senior Director of International Field Marketing, you will work closely with regional sales teams and the other members of the central marketing team to develop, align, and execute on go-to-market activities, pipeline contribution, and track the results of the marketing campaigns. To be successful in this role, you will be a passionate, customer-centric marketer with the ability to create compelling messages for different target audiences. You will employ marketing best practices, regional scalability, and develop further innovative ideas to drive Blackboard’s demand in the region. To create the demand, you will leverage marketing programs directly developed and launched locally and through participation in global campaigns. Primary responsibilities will include: - Managing the LAC annual marketing plan, working with the Senior Director of International Field Marketing, marketing colleagues, sales teams, and partners - Working closely with country managers to ensure marketing resources and activities are prioritized to support new business and retention targets - Creating and organizing marketing content for programs, leadership pieces from initial copy development to asset and campaign production, for strategic campaigns in the region - Developing, managing, and executing all aspects of the marketing programs focusing on creating demand and retention for Blackboard’s products and services from both existing clients and prospect and develop further innovative ideas to drive Blackboard’s business in the region Planning and executing a series of cross-format events from industry leadership forums to series of webinars and deliver measurable ROI - Building and maintaining a close collaboration with the sales organization, including coordination of the development of regional specific marketing programs, follow-up activities, pipeline contribution, result tracking, and team communication - Becoming fluent in the marketplace dynamics, client segment needs, roles, and personas and developing and helping to execute scalable marketing activities based on this client-centric and segmented approach - Generating reports and analysis to support marketing key performance indicators such as lead generation, lead follow-up, and lead conversion - Required skills/qualifications:_ - University degree or equivalent in Marketing, Communications, or Business - 8+ years of marketing experience working in B2B industry, tech vendor, or educational technology arena - A proven track record of driving successful positioning and content strategy for marketing programs across multiple markets - Strong planning and project management skills; ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritize, be detail-oriented, and meet deadlines - Proactive communicator with a track record of strong teamwork and collaboration with all levels in an organization - Experience managing and operating field events, customer conferences, and exhibitions Excellent writing, proof-reading, copywriting, and editing skills - The ability to travel across the LAC territory and internationally as required - Fluency in written and spoken English at CEF B2 level or above - Preferred skills/qualifications:_ - Prior education industry experience **The Office**: Blackboard has an office located in Bogota, Colombia as a hub for the LAC market. - Located in Capital Towers center in the financial district - Excellent and secure area to eat lunch, have a walk, or dine after office hours - Benefits in prepaid medicine, dental plan, and wellness allowance - Easy access to public transportation close to two important avenues, Carrera 7 and Calle 100 - Free parking for employees and paid parking for visitors - Multiple private spaces for virtual and face-to-face meetings - Regular events like bring your dog to work day and ping-pong, foosball, and Mario Kart tourname
