Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry-Level Operations Assistant. In this role, you will assist during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment on work locations for the purpose of recording information about sub-surface geologic formations. As an Operations Assistant, you will learn basic oil well operations including the identification of different rig types and drill string components, Blow Out Prevention (BOP) procedures and equipment, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and guidelines, and other appropriate safety and service quality protocols and guidelines. About the Job: This is an entry-level position into the service operator job family, and we are looking for someone who wants to innovate, achieve, grow and lead. As an Operations Assistant, you will assist during the operation of well logging equipment at job site, learn to assemble down hole well logging tools, and maintain, clean and perform preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface well logging equipment. You will also assist in the performance of pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports. What We Are Looking For: To be successful in this role, you will need to have basic reading comprehension and writing skills, basic computer skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with others. You will also need to have the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Additionally, you will need to be able to work independently and as part of a team, and be able to adapt to changing situations and priorities. Responsibilities: The primary responsibilities of this role include: 1. Rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment on work locations for the purpose of recording information about sub-surface geologic formations. 2. Learning basic oil well operations including the identification of different rig types and drill string components, Blow Out Prevention (BOP) procedures and equipment, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) procedures and guidelines, and other appropriate safety and service quality protocols and guidelines. 3. Assisting during the operation of well logging equipment at job site. 4. Learning to assemble down hole well logging tools. 5. Maintaining, cleaning and performing preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface well logging equipment. 6. Assisting in the performance of pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and associated paperwork and/or reports. Qualifications: To be considered for this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Licensure to drive commercial equipment may be required in certain locations. Successful completion of Well Control Accreditation Program may be required (some locations). Successful completion of water survival training may be required. Additionally, you must be able to pass a background check and have a valid driver's license.
