Under strict supervision, assists during rigging-up and rigging-down of surface and down hole well logging equipment at work locations to record information about sub-surface geologic formations. Learns basic oil well operations, including rig types, drill string components, Blow Out Prevention (BOP) procedures, Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) protocols, and other safety and service quality guidelines. Assists during the operation of well logging equipment and learns to assemble, maintain, and perform preventative maintenance on down-hole and surface well logging tools. Supports pre and post job vehicle and equipment inspections and documentation. This role requires high school education or equivalent, and may require licensure for driving commercial equipment, well control accreditation, water survival training, and effective communication skills.
