The incumbent is required to assist in lab and QA operations to ensure compliance with quality standards, ensuring the product conforms to specifications, food safety practices are followed, and assist in documentation involving HACCP, Food Safety, and Good Manufacturing Practices. Some Main Responsibilities include: Conduct routine and non-routine analyses of water treatment systems, testing water quality at each point identified in the water treatment and system reporting findings in a timely manner. Perform visual inspections of finished products prior to release. Assist in releasing finished goods via S2k VAI and completion of documents related to product release. Compile laboratory test data and perform appropriate analyses, particularly on incoming raw materials which include sampling, labelling and retention samples, comparison with supplier COA or specifications, testing – making test samples of finished products (chemicals), physical tests (packaging), releasing/rejecting (preparing and sticking approvals on all containers). Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms. Conduct environmental microbial tests and all procedures contributing to the successful completion of the test. Assist in coordinating activities which affect the daily operation of the production schedule. Assist in coordinating the calibration of Spectrophotometer, clean bench, fume hood, all scales, autoclave, pH, incubators, and other laboratory equipment. Assist in coordination of sanitation procedures within the plant for both production rooms and equipment and ensure all related forms are present and completed. Generate Manufacturing Orders, Raw Material and Packaging Requisition Form, and Issue Batch Documents required to complete Production Schedule. Coordinate testing of finished goods at external laboratories. Inspect and validate the compounding process in keeping with standard operating procedures. Conduct random inline checks and flag and report non-conformances. Perform other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company. Qualification, Experience and Requirement: Associates Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or related subject. At least two (2) years in a similar capacity in a Manufacturing environment. Or relevant combination of training and experience. A valid Police Certificate of Good Character. Key Competencies: Excellent communication and organization skills. Good physical dexterity.
