You will be responsible for the reliability, scalability, and development of our technology platforms, spearheading our tech teams as we accelerate innovation to enhance our existing and future products and services. The Finance Manager - North America provides leadership and direction to the local accounting teams in US and Canada offices. Reporting to the Head of Finance Americas you will identify and drive best practices in a variety of areas such as accounting, financial planning, management reporting, treasury, tax, risk management and financial performance of the North America entities and any others assigned to you. As a people manager you will be responsible for developing and motivating your accounting team. **Main tasks & responsibilities**: - Oversee the US and Canada company accounts and financial management thereof - Submit monthly Management accounts and KPI reports - Budget population/management and monthly forecasts - Responsible for bookings in Group’s consolidation system and ensure intercompany reconciliations are done on a monthly basis - Coordinate and review tax and other relevant declarations as per local requirements - Responsible for payroll overview of North America entities and any others assigned to you, including all necessary local declarations - Manage cash flow by submitting a weekly cash forecast, tracking transactions and regularity reviewing internal data and reports to ensure liquidity and solvency - Manage working capital cycle for all the US and Canada - Year end financial statements and disclosure and managing the audit process, ensuring all financial controls are in place - Implement and manage Group financial and administrative policies and procedures to satisfy the business needs - Support the Head of Americas in any ad hoc requests and acting as deputy when needed **Requirements**: Essential - Verified experience in the accounting area, management in operative and control processes, in addition to the compliance with objectives - Specialisation in the accounting or tax area - Updated accounting and tax knowledge, insights into International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) - Working knowledge with accounting ERPs - Proficient written and oral command of Spanish and English - Expert in Microsoft Office package (Word, Excel) - Entrepreneurial attitude, sense of responsibility and willingness to take initiative - Teamwork oriented with a can-do attitude, creativity and prudence - Ability to manage multiple priorities while keeping attention to details - Demonstrated experience in managing accounting teams **What we offer**: At South Pole, we care about our employees as much as we care about the planet.
