Your new role As a Sustainability Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advancing Novo Nordisk’s environmental, social, and governance (ESG) agenda. Your responsibilities will include: Leading the implementation of strategic sustainability and public health programmes in Colombia, aligned with Circular4Zero and global partnerships. Acting as a key liaison with partners such as UNICEF, PAHO-WHO, and local stakeholders to ensure successful deployment of initiatives. Coordinating internal and external efforts to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable healthcare practices. Overseeing the planning, execution, and reporting of initiatives supporting vulnerable populations. Driving cross-functional collaboration and ensuring alignment with global goals across programmes like Cities Changing Diabetes, Take Action, and Changing Diabetes in Children. Your new department This position is based in Bogotá, Colombia, where Novo Nordisk is committed to making a difference in the lives of patients and communities. As a Sustainability Manager, you will contribute to global initiatives while tailoring solutions to local needs, ensuring alignment with Novo Nordisk’s vision of driving change to defeat serious chronic diseases and promoting sustainable healthcare practices. Your skills and qualifications We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications: A bachelor’s degree (required); a master’s degree in Management, Social Sciences, Economics, or Journalism & Media is preferred. 5+ years of experience in sustainability, corporate social responsibility (CSR), or related areas, with proven leadership in cross-functional environments. Hands-on experience in at least two of the following: sustainability, CSR, project management, or international cooperation. Strong ability to analyse complex issues, think strategically, and translate them into actionable, community-focused plans. Demonstrated experience leading teams and working closely with diverse stakeholders to drive impactful social and environmental initiatives. Familiarity with ESG risk management, regulatory compliance, and sustainability reporting requirements. Experience in public education/awareness programmes or community engagement initiatives.
