SCOR has created a new Facultative Reinsurance team to further our success in this market. While Facultative underwriting is not new to us, our focused approach will help secure our position as a market leader. Creating this book of business, in collaboration with the wider Insurance and Reinsurance teams, is where this role begins. Within this role, you are responsible for SCOR's Facultative Casualty Reinsurance offering across LATAM, developing relationships with clients and underwriters. As a Senior Underwriter Casualty - LATAM, you will support strategic engagement for our business development, including business origination and maintenance of the SCOR Cedent Facultative offering to clients and brokers in the region. You play a key role in achieving the Plan and ensuring the profitability of Cedent Facultative transactions in your regional line of business, contributing to the success of the underwriting team within the region. Your plan contributions are part of the regional and global Cedent Facultative ambition and are achieved through sound technical and profitable underwriting. These goals are achieved through your skill at developing SCOR’s market share and leadership position across Cedent Facultative Reinsurance by enhancing the Group’s image in the market through efficient and innovative support of client needs, being the partner our clients seek. Managing your portfolios of accounts through strong market relationships is central to your role at SCOR. You will also actively contribute to portfolio growth and diversification, supporting the overall organization strategy. Your role involves evaluating offers of business, analyzing exposure, identifying optimal arrangements, and negotiating the best terms for SCOR while satisfying client needs. You will also support developing our submission pipeline and promote SCOR proactively according to our strategy and guidelines. Building and maintaining relationships with clients and brokers, attending events, and engaging in market activities are key to our growth. We encourage curiosity and innovation, viewing research and development as vital for exploring new profitable growth areas. Working as a team at SCOR is essential. Collaboration across underwriting, Claims, and Pricing teams is fundamental to our success. Some key expectations of your role include: 1. Contributing to profitable growth and portfolio diversification according to strategy and guidelines. 2. Evaluating business offers, pricing, and negotiating contract terms. 3. Researching and reporting on new profitable growth areas. 4. Marketing and cross-selling capabilities of other Group units to managers, brokers, and ceding companies. 5. Developing marketing materials and market intelligence documentation. 6. Providing technical expertise and mentoring to underwriters in the region. 7. Sharing market intelligence and best practices with peers globally to ensure consistent underwriting methodology. 8. Supporting cross-LOB growth through local market interactions. 9. Collaborating with Claims in negotiating and resolving portfolio claims. 10. Ensuring data quality and reporting accuracy across IT systems. Experience: - Strong underwriting experience across the market. - High technical acumen in reinsurance and insurance principles.
