Position Summary Post-sale technical staff position involving responsibilities after the sale of the organization’s product to the client. Provides post-sales technical expertise during the installation, implementation, and maintenance of company products. May involve implementing detailed customer installation requirements and/or customization. Ensures that client’s needs are met and that the product/solution functions according to specifications. May provide follow-up support to sales staff and customers by sharing technical information on specific applications. Changes to responsibilities may occur due to business needs and other duties may be assigned. Scope of Responsibilities Provide remote second-level field applications support to customers and channel partners (C.P) across the LATAM EM region Library preparation or NGS experience (desirable) Document customer and channel partner interactions in SFDC and respond to inquiries via email Develop, write, and edit technical documentation and training materials for internal and external customers, including webinars, seminars, and courses Participate in ongoing training to maintain proficiency with Illumina’s products Assist the commercial team on sales calls with technical and applications support in response to customer inquiries Apply basic problem-solving techniques to define and resolve routine issues Determine courses of action based on guidelines Work on assignments of limited scope with answers obtainable through standard practices Develop internal working relationships Exchange standard information with colleagues, supervisors, and project leaders Work under guided leadership and general instructions for new assignments Review work periodically based on defined procedures or standards Possess excellent written and verbal communication and training skills Exercise judgment within established procedures to determine appropriate actions Experience/Education Bachelor’s degree with some experience in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, library preparation, NGS, or related fields. Master’s preferred.
