Strategic Risk Assessment Specialist The Strategic Risk Assessment Specialist is a critical role that requires expertise in evaluating and mitigating financial risks. This position involves analyzing complex financial data, identifying potential risks, and developing strategies to minimize their impact. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough financial analyses of companies, including trend and ratio analysis, to identify potential risks and opportunities. - Evaluate collateral performance and changes in trends, as well as assess repayment capacity based on secondary sources of repayment. - Prepare monthly and quarterly reviews of existing borrowers to track compliance with loan covenants and monitor financial performance. - Develop and maintain knowledge of Citigroup products and services within Commercial Banking and the broader organization. - Coordinate with bankers on customer calls and site visits, providing guidance and support as needed. - Perform industry and geographical research, as well as other due diligence tasks, to inform credit decisions. - Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and policies, ensuring compliance and adherence to internal controls. Qualifications: - 10+ years of experience in a related field, preferably in a financial institution or loan officer/underwriting role. - Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent experience. - Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, industry and competitive analysis, and projections. - Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to complete assignments in a timely manner. - Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate internally and influence others. - Ability to work autonomously and within a team, with strong problem recognition and resolution skills. - Proficient in various spreadsheet and word processing applications, including Excel, Word, and Moody's financial analysis software.
