Job Title: Legal Associate Mode: 100% remote Working Days: Monday to Alternate Saturday Shift: 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST Notice Period: Immediate Joiner Experience: At least 2-4 years Roles and Responsibilities: Monitoring the JA cases and Priority dates and take appropriate actions. Drafting, researching, and preparing legal documents to communicate regularly with clients regarding procedural and case processing issues. Auditing cases of the Firm on a daily basis. File Management - ensuring client data on the casework management system and paper files are kept up-to-date and accurate. Analyzing case documents and preparing applications, briefs, and pleadings for filing with the appropriate official agency / court. Opening and closing cases of the firm. Managing caseload from intake through processing & filing. Organizing applications, briefs, and pleadings for review & filing. Organizing files & entering data in an in-house case management software. Communicating with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions. Assisting caseworkers with the preparation of their cases as & when needed. Adhering to the Firm’s policy in relation to confidentiality with specific reference to Data Protection Act. Keeping clients apprised on the proceedings of their cases. Understanding legal procedural and processing requirements for various types of cases such as immigration, divorce, bankruptcy, and employment. Responding to immigration & visa queries in a timely manner & complying with submission deadlines. Auditing one’s own cases to ensure that the files are mailed out on time, and the pending cases are completed. Following up with USCIS / Courts as and when required.
