As a Senior Data Architect , you will lead the development of robust data systems using the latest technology. Your goal is to enhance the reliability of our data systems and streamline workflows. You will mentor new team members, collaborate across teams to ensure data solutions meet everyone's needs, and translate complex data concepts into understandable terms. Proficiency with our technology stack and programming languages is essential, as is guiding the team through updates and innovations. Responsibilities: Define and communicate the long-term data architecture vision aligned with business strategy. Create and validate diagrams and technical documentation of data system structures. Lead the evaluation and selection of technologies, frameworks, and standards. Support development teams with guidance to ensure proper implementation of data architecture. Establish best practices for data management and governance. Collaborate with leadership to align data architecture with business needs. Identify technical challenges and propose innovative solutions. Ensure compliance with data security standards and regulations. Promote innovation and technical excellence within the data team. Mentor team members, sharing knowledge and fostering growth. Represent data architecture in technical and strategic forums. Requirements: Proficiency in SQL and Python (or PySpark) for data manipulation and analysis. Experience with Databricks, Azure DevOps, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Azure Purview. Strong understanding of data quality principles, governance, cataloging, and lineage. Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for ETL processes. Solid foundation in dimensional data modeling and data lake/data warehouse implementations. Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams including stakeholders from data, applications, infrastructure, and business domains. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Experience in mentoring and fostering a culture of learning and innovation. Strong analytical skills to identify and solve complex technical challenges. Knowledge of data security and privacy regulations, e.g., HIPAA, ensuring compliance.
