Our developersdesign, build, and release software products in multipleprogramming languages, frameworks, and libraries. Alwayscollaborating with cross-functional project teams, our developersare adaptable problem-solvers with a client-oriented mindset. ADevelopment Consultant understands the technical landscape of ITprojects, comprehends the business context and goals, and usestheir experience to develop optimal solutions, including technologyand design choices. They support the project manager in planningsoftware delivery, articulate the vision to both technical andnon-technical stakeholders, and work directly with customers todefine solutions. Responsibilities: - Lead a cross-functional teamof Frontend, Backend/API, and Quality Assurance engineers todeliver against teams' objectives and milestones; - Activelyparticipate in the full software development lifecycle fromideation and planning through to development, testing, customerfeedback and further iterations; - Drive improvements across thewhole stack; - Collaborate with Product Owners, Data Engineers,Data Scientists to expose data through the web application; - Buildand maintain our backend tech stack of Python, Airflow, PostgreSQL,Kafka; - Provide architectural and design direction, controltechnical debt, promote collaboration and engagement in the productteam; - Work closely with other Engineering Managers on cross-teamtopics such as continuous deployment, improving our testing andmonitoring, front-end user logging, etc. Qualifications - 10 ormore years of software development experience, with at least 4years in leadership roles; - Bachelor’s or master’s, preferably incomputer science or related field; - Strong agile mindset, able toiterate fast and give early feedback; - On top of technicalabilities, excellent leadership, decision making and strongcommunication skills in verbal and written English; - Deepknowledge of Python (3.5 and later); - Knowledge of modernfront-end technologies and web development fundamentals; -Experience developing public APIs with OpenAPI specifications andservice-level contracts; - Experience working with map and locationlibraries (eg. Mapbox); - Experience with coaching, mentoring andgrowing team members; - Deep knowledge of testing at all levels,from unit testing to end-to-end.
