About The Role As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing cloud-based APIs that cater to the needs of our global user base. This includes designing scalable solutions, maintaining high-quality standards through automated testing and observability, participating in Agile development practices, and being part of an on-call rotation to maintain service level agreements. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in search technologies, strong backend development skills, and experience with AWS cloud services. You will thrive in a collaborative environment, participate in code reviews, design discussions, and mentor others. Our team operates on US EST hours but offers remote work flexibility. The role requires: - Designing and implementing technical solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements - Proposing, designing and delivering technical solutions to improve KPIs - Practicing Agile development and supporting roadmap development - Participating in on-call rotation and incident resolution - Implementing security best practices - Setting and improving engineering standards - Mentoring team members Key Skills and Qualifications: - BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience - 10+ years of software engineering experience - 5+ years hands-on experience with OpenSearch/Elasticsearch in production - Deep understanding of OpenSearch architecture - Expertise in designing scalable, fault-tolerant search platforms - Expertise in server-side programming languages (Node.js) Why Join Us?
