Director of Business Development - Home-based in Spain We're seeking a driven, self-motivated, sales-oriented, passionate, organized, and determined individual to join our growing team as a Director of Business Development. As a Business Development Director, you will gain valuable knowledge and experience in the CRO, Pharmaceutical, & Biotech industries. This role will focus on opening and expanding existing clients, driving new business opportunities, and achieving sales targets. You will maintain the Salesforce.com database, ensuring all client meetings, RFP information, and relevant updates are captured and maintained within Salesforce.com. Responsibilities: Client management: Research and gather intelligence on target market sectors, organizations, and contacts; focus on opening new clients and expanding existing clients based on pipeline and business goals; achieve sales targets; prepare and execute sales plans. Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at targeted accounts. Understand the decision-making process of major sponsors. Share proposal/contract details, client meetings, RFP information, and updates within the company. Develop relationships with leads or prospects to generate RFPs. Organize client meetings and congresses as needed. Establish and maintain contacts with operational departments. Act ethically and follow the sales process to coordinate opportunity activities. Proposal development: Collaborate with functional heads, review drafts, support timely delivery, and interact with clients to collect necessary information. Manage and lead the Bid Defence process: draft slide decks, organize meetings, prepare rehearsals, and communicate with clinical project teams. Maintain Salesforce.com database with all relevant information. Candidate Requirements: Fluent in French and English; additional languages are a plus. University degree in Natural Sciences, Medicine, Business, or comparable experience. At least 3 years of sales experience, self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Strong presentation and writing skills. Previous BD or sales experience within CRO or Pharmaceutical industries is highly advantageous.
