!!! JOIN OUR GREAT TEAM ¡¡¡ Job Summary: We are seeking a professional and client-focused immigration Legal Assistant to join our team. This role requires frequent client interaction both in person and through various communication channels, including phone, email, and text. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and have exceptional customer service skills. The Legal Assistant will be responsible for managing various client-related tasks while collaborating closely with attorneys, legal line managers, and other team members to support smooth case management and office operations. Responsibilities: • Client Interaction: o Conduct in-person appointments with clients to discuss their cases, gather necessary evidence, and address inquiries. o Communicate with clients over the phone, via email, and text to provide updates, request documents, and respond to questions. o Provide clients with important case updates, ensuring they are informed and engaged throughout the process. o Hand clients their critical documents, such as work permits, green cards, and other official paperwork. o Assist clients visiting the office to make payments, drop off documents, or address concerns. • Document and Case Management: o Collect, organize, and upload evidence received from clients, both in person and electronically, into the appropriate client file. o Manage client notices by saving them to the case file and promptly sharing them with the client. o Prepare cases for client review, ensuring all documents are complete and ready for final signatures. o Maintain and update client files in accordance with internal protocols and compliance standards. • Support and Coordination: o Collaborate with attorneys, legal line managers, supervisors, and other department heads to ensure seamless case progression. o Coordinate with clients and team members to meet deadlines and address urgent needs. Qualifications: o Bachelor’s degree in related field; additional education or certification is a plus. o Bilingual: English/Spanish. o 2+ years of professional working experience. o Proven experience in client-facing roles, such as customer service, administrative support, or legal assistance. o Strong organizational and multitasking skills. o Excellent written and verbal communication skills. o Proficiency in MS Office and other office productivity tools. o Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills. o Comfortable handling sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion. o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. o Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. o Proficiency in using case management or database software is a plus.
