We are seeking a highly skilled **Bilingual Accountant & Statutory Auditor** to oversee all financial, tax, and payroll processes for our operations in Colombia. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with extensive knowledge of Colombian accounting standards, tax regulations, and payroll processing, as well as fluency in **both English and Spanish** to ensure seamless communication with corporate teams. **Key Responsibilities**: - **Financial Management & Compliance**: Ensure compliance with Colombian financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate policies. - **General Accounting**: Manage the complete accounting cycle, including journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements, and reporting. - **Tax & Fiscal Responsibilities**: Prepare and submit tax filings (VAT, income tax, withholdings) and liaise with DIAN and other regulatory bodies. - **Payroll Management**: Oversee payroll processing for **35-40 employees**, ensuring timely and accurate salary payments, benefits, and deductions. - **Auditing & Financial Controls**: Conduct internal audits and implement best practices to maintain financial accuracy and transparency. - **Financial Reporting**: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for local and corporate leadership. - **Budget & Cash Flow Management**: Monitor cash flow, prepare forecasts, and support financial planning. - **External Relations**: Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and government entities. - **Bilingual Communication**: Serve as the key point of contact for financial discussions with the area director. **Requirements**: - Bachelor’s degree in **Accounting, Finance, or a related field**. - Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification. - Minimum of **5 years of experience** in accounting and tax compliance in Colombia. - **Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish** (spoken and written). - Strong knowledge of **Colombian tax regulations, payroll laws, and IFRS accounting standards**. - Experience managing **payroll processes** for mid-sized companies. - Proficiency in **accounting software** and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. - Excellent **analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills**. - Ability to work independently and collaborate with international teams.
