About the Team The Compliance team at Nu has a critical mission: ensuring regulatory compliance through understanding both regulations and business needs. This requires collaboration with internal clients and not just distributing new rules. The team should provide interpretation of regulations, definition of action plans, monitoring, and testing their implementation. Key Responsibilities - Deep analysis of new rules and understanding their impacts; - Assessing and challenging action plans defined by business units and monitoring their implementation; - Managing activities and prioritization to meet internal and regulatory deadlines; - Maintaining good relationships with different teams and negotiating deadlines; - Assertive and objective communication when writing and presenting regulatory matters; - Supporting business areas in decision-making, considering applicable terms; - Providing regulatory analysis in the approval flow of new products, services, or features; - Preventing and detecting anomalies that may result in regulatory gaps; - Preparing and presenting training on compliance matters; - Monitoring, coordinating, and answering inquiries and inspections from supervisors. This role involves following governance of regulatory issues to senior management through Compliance Forum, Risk Committees, etc. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics, Business Management, or related fields; - Previous experience in regulatory compliance, financial products/services regulatory matters, and/or risk management/NFR in a financial or tech company or consulting firm for at least 10 years; - No legal background (to complement existing team's profile); - Strong logical thinking and ability to summarize main changes/to-do's of a new rule; - Experience in testing; - Ability to work with KPIs/KRIs, present information in dashboards and reports format; - Excellent communication skills for liaising with senior management; - Negotiation and prioritization skills; - JIRA, automation, queries, SQL, or other programming languages would be a plus. This position is based in Bogotá, Colombia.
