WHERE YOU'LL FIT WITHIN THE TEAM AI, Insights and Solutions (AIS) is the Bain Practice responsible for defining the intellectual property, marketing and commercializing Bain’s approach to data and analytics strategy, transformation, and operations. WHAT YOU'LL DO The AIS Commercial Practice Director (PD) is the lead role in driving commercial support for the AIS practice, and the partner affiliates. This role is critical in ensuring high quality, high velocity discussion materials for both client development and proposals. In this role, your core responsibilities will include: Strategic Leadership Develop the annual Growth Agenda for the practice, as a thought partner for the Chief Commercial Growth Officer, including developing a set of sales plays that have proven effective in converting commercial opportunities in the AIS space, including marketing around hooks that are compelling for our clients, and ensure we are ready to provide bespoke approaches and solutions for clients as technology and use cases change Build strong relationships with interlock leaders in the AIS practice and industry sector Practice teams, and their leaders, to define a shared agenda on the products/solutions that are most commercially important for their target clients; work closely with Regional Commercial Practice team members to set up and maintain win rooms for critical interlocks Proposal Desk Create a baseline library of best proposals, demos Develop a commercial platform with a highly curated set of demos and use cases that can be used in future proposals and client development discussions Write proposals directly with client heads, leveraging the BCN team support, and support elements for those proposals being led by others; writing may include creating/adapting demos Coach the team on ‘perfect pitch’, including critical elements to scope into the work, thinking creatively about how to define the approach Understand the ‘best of’ from our product teams, and have enough solution/product depth to connect the right teams and experts for commercial opportunities Product Development Provide input to product/solution teams on innovation roadmaps, advising on elements critical to win commercially and those with little commercial value that should be stopped; serve as closed loop feedback from our client teams into the product organization Advise on industry/sector commercial specificity to product development sprints given experience on proposals and leveraging relationships with interlock teams Team Leadership Retain and develop top-tier talent across roles Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-performance organization.
