ABOUT THE POSITION We are looking for a passionate and experienced English and Language Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team and teach in both the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator who inspires a love for literature and effective communication, and who supports students in developing critical thinking, creativity, and a global perspective through language. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Plan and deliver engaging, rigorous, and inquiry-based English Language and Literature lessons aligned with MYP and DP frameworks. Foster student understanding of a wide range of literary and non-literary texts from diverse cultures and perspectives. Design and implement differentiated instructional strategies to meet varied learning needs. Assess student progress using formative and summative assessment strategies aligned with IB objectives and criteria. Provide guidance and support to DP students working on their Internal Assessments and Extended Essays. Support MYP students with their Personal Project , helping them develop their research, writing, and presentation skills. Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary learning experiences and support whole-school initiatives. Contribute to the development and review of the English curriculum within the MYP and DP programs. Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement. Build strong relationships with students and maintain open, respectful communication with families. REQUIREMENTS MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field. Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in IB MYP and/or DP English Language and Literature. Proficiency in English at a native or near-native level . Strong knowledge of the IB frameworks, including assessment criteria and curriculum components. Demonstrated ability to foster inclusive, student-centered classrooms. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. DESIRED BUT NOT EXCLUDING REQUIREMENTS: IB training in MYP Language and Literature and/or DP Language A. Familiarity with interdisciplinary teaching and inquiry-based learning. Experience supporting student projects such as Personal Projects or Extended Essays.
