As a **Documentation Specialist**, you will analyze, interpret data, and provide logistics information to aid cost-effective, efficient, timely, and high-quality logistics solutions. **Some of your responsibilities are but are not limited to**: **Documentation Management**: - Prepare, review, and process all shipping documentation including bills of lading, packing lists, commercial invoices, certificates of origin, and customs documentation (AES filing, export documentation i.e. MBL, HBL.). - Create batch records and maintain accurate and organized records of all documentation. **Coordination and Communication**: - Liaise with clients and carriers, to ensure smooth and efficient cargo movement. - Coordinate with the operation team to gather necessary information for documentation. - Provide updates and respond to inquiries from clients regarding documentation status. **Compliance and Accuracy**: - Verify the accuracy of documentation against shipment details, and verify hazardous materials shipping paperwork.. - Ensure all documentation is completed promptly to avoid delays in shipment processing. - Ensure all shipment documentation complies with customs rules and regulations. **Problem Resolution**: - Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues with documentation. - Work proactively to prevent and address documentation-related problems that may arise during the shipping process. **Requirements**: **What would help you succeed**: - Believe and love what you do. - Attention to detail. - Organizational skills. - Time management. **Minimum requirements**: - **Studies**:High school degree is required. Desirable (not mandatory) studies in International Business, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Logistics related. - **Experience**:At least 6+ months working in freight forwarding, customs, import/export, international logistics or related. Having experience in other logistic areas would be a plus. - **Knowledge**:Hands-on experience with CargoWise, and proficiency in both export and import documentation. Familiarity with Hazardous Materials documentation for transport is highly desirable. - **Language**:Excellent English skills.
