Job Title: Systems Administrator The Systems Administrator will provide systems administration to core Corporate IT server platforms, network, and applications. They will support the development and incorporation of best practices and approaches into the company's processes and methodologies. This includes participating in root cause/solution analysis for service failure and support escalation. The incumbent will operate in complex, highly secure, and highly available operations environments. They will interact with technology domain experts required to maintain those environments and demonstrate a commitment to customer service, pro-active review of processes, and procedures to continually enhance service quality, delivery, and support. - Perform system/server security remediation and ensure up-to-date patch levels and conformity to security standards. - Ensure the team meets all SLA's and team objectives. - Maintain a strong commitment to execution, follow-through, and timely communication. - Monitor incident queues, troubleshoot issues, and lead conference calls with other groups to mitigate impacts. - Collaborate with Engineering teams across various platforms (Windows, UNIX/Linux, Network, Storage, Database, and Middleware) to translate application requirements into system requirements. - Utilize good problem-solving skills with a focus on troubleshooting issues in complex production environments. - Be willing to learn new technologies and software, think out of the box, question the norm, and be innovative. - Participate in on-call rotation. - Proficient in using tools for system and network monitoring. - Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills. - Able to multitask and make decisions based on technical knowledge. - Experience working with offshore and globally distributed teams. This is a hybrid position. The expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager. Basic Qualifications: - 2+ years of relevant work experience and a bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications: - 3 or more years of work experience with a bachelor's degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an advanced degree. - Experience and in-depth knowledge with network and Windows system administration activities. - Installing, configuring, and patching Windows Server operating systems on physical and virtual servers. - Implementing and maintaining system security policies. - Performing backups and disaster recovery procedures. - Advanced understanding of Cisco routing and switching. - Expert-level knowledge of switching and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, LACP, Spanning Tree). - Advanced-level knowledge of Cisco VPN networking (Firepower, ASA, IPSEC). - Broad knowledge of TCP/IP, MPLS, WAN, LAN, and WLC-based wireless networking. - Working knowledge of SASE solutions. - Working knowledge of Arista switching. - Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies, ideally Silver Peak. - Working knowledge of Cloud, Azure, and Hybrid computing. - Knowledge of automation tools, ideally SolarWinds and Catalyst Center.
