Title: Senior Data Engineer (Databricks Focus) Location: Remote – LATAM candidates encouraged to apply We are hiring a Senior Data Engineer for one of our clients, an innovative global company that builds impactful digital solutions. They are looking for someone with strong hands-on experience in Databricks and a solid background in building and optimizing data pipelines and architectures. This is a long-term remote opportunity working with an international and collaborative team on cutting-edge data projects. What You’ll Be Doing Design and build scalable data pipelines using Databricks, Apache Spark, and modern ETL frameworks. Work with structured and unstructured data from relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases. Develop and maintain data models using tools like ER/Studio or IBM Data Architect. Implement and optimize data warehousing solutions like Amazon Redshift or Snowflake. Collaborate on real-time data integration using Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, and Azure Data Factory. Ensure data security and access control with tools such as Apache Ranger and HashiCorp Vault. Work closely with analytics teams to enable data visualization with tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Use Jira, Confluence, and Git for task management and documentation. Follow software engineering best practices using SQL, Python, and optionally R. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles. Proven experience with Databricks (must-have). Strong background in data modeling, ETL development, and pipeline optimization. Experience with Apache Spark, big data technologies, and cloud platforms (preferably AWS). Proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or R). Ability to thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional, and remote environments. Advanced English communication skills.
