About the Associate Project Officer Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Associate Project Officer to support our transformative initiative in higher education. This full-time position is based in Bogotá, with programmatic activities centered in Santa Fe de Antioquia, Colombia. This opportunity offers the chance to work within a UNESCO flagship program fostering capacity building, research, and international collaboration. Job Overview - Job Title: Associate Project Officer - Post Number: P-2 - Contract Type: Project Appointment - Contract Duration: 1 year (renewable based on performance and funding) - Recruitment Type: Internal and external - Estimated Starting Salary: Approx. USD 76,897/year (plus benefits) Key Responsibilities Programme and Project Contribution - Support project implementation, tracking performance, and aligning with UNESCO goals and the UN 2030 Agenda. - Assist in preparing reports, project proposals, and situational analyses using UNESCO's monitoring tools. - Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, training sessions, consultations, and field missions. Research and Knowledge Management - Conduct research and draft inputs for publications, project documents, and policy proposals. - Analyze educational trends and best practices to inform programming. - Support public information efforts, manage content for social media, and organize awareness campaigns. Partnerships and Outreach - Identify and analyze opportunities for partnerships and resource mobilization. - Support collaborative activities with other UN agencies and education stakeholders. - Maintain institutional memory through internal platforms like SharePoint. Requirements Education - Advanced university degree (Master's or equivalent) in: - Education - Social Sciences - Educational Technology - International Development - Or a related field Experience - Minimum 2 years of relevant professional experience in higher education or teacher training. - At least 1 year of international-level experience preferred. - Proven experience in organizing capacity-building programs or educational training. Skills and Competencies - Familiarity with innovative pedagogical models, hybrid learning, and educational technologies. - Strong coordination and communication skills for working with diverse stakeholders. - Analytical and problem-solving abilities with adaptability and creativity. - Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
