POSITION OVERVIEW: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Supervisor to lead our team of Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialists in Bogotá. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management of the accounts receivable process, maintaining team efficiency, and achieving financial targets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, coaching team members, and implementing strategies to enhance AR performance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and manage a team of AR Specialists to achieve individual and team performance targets. Performance Monitoring: Regularly review and analyze team performance metrics, providing feedback and implementing improvement plans as necessary. End to End collections understanding: Understand customer behavior by enforcing payment schedules and strategies to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices. Follow up with customers on overdue payments, and negotiate potential settlements and payment plans when necessary. Training and Development: Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the AR skills and financial knowledge of the team. Ensure all team members are up-to-date with the latest industry trends and company offerings. Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the AR team. Customer Interaction: Handle escalated customer issues and disputes, ensuring prompt and effective resolution. Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction. Collaboration: Work closely with the VGM AR-Collections Team and local GBS Structure to align AR strategies and ensure seamless operations. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on AR performance, customer payment trends, and team achievements to senior management. Compliance: Ensure all team activities comply with company policies and local regulations. Promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility within the team. REPORTS TO: Remotely: To the VGM AR-Collections Team & Locally to the GBS Structure DIRECT REPORTS: GBS Colombia – AR workforce. JOB REQUIREMENTS: Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a collections supervisory or management role, preferably within the car leasing or mobility sector. Language Proficiency: Exceptional fluency (speaking and writing) in Spanish and English is required. Additional languages are advantageous (Urdu, Russian, Arabic, Hindi, Portuguese, Chinese-Mandarin, Italian). Technical Skills: Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Business Central), Microsoft Office Suite, and CRM systems. Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is preferred. Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours to accommodate different time zones across the United States and Latin America.
