About the Role: The Credit Manager is responsible for maintaining proper credit procedures throughout the hotel in accordance with both local and corporate policies and procedures. What You Will Do: Establish and maintain local credit policies and procedures regarding billing, credit cards, collections, inquiries, and check collection, and prepare month-end and year-end reports and reconciliations in accordance with established corporate guidelines. Ensure that all inquiries from guests or credit card companies are handled promptly (the same day if possible) and professionally. Ensure quick and accurate billing of all accounts and timely follow-up on collections. Maintain credit histories, original credit applications approved in writing, and other records for the hotel's regular accounts. Ensure that the check-in/check-out procedure adequately protects the hotel without burdening or delaying hotel guests. Develop and maintain relationships with regular customers to foster communication and assist in collections. Prepare and conduct a monthly credit meeting. Requirements: Professional in accounting, administrative careers, or related fields. 3 years of experience in similar positions. Practical technical knowledge of accounting principles. Knowledge and ability to operate computer equipment and Microsoft Office Suite software. Knowledge of Sun, iScala, and Opera Systems (desirable).
