Hiring Department Intercollegiate Athletics Job Description The University of Missouri's Softball Program is seeking an Assistant Coach. Reporting to the Head Coach, this individual will be responsible for: Assisting in the daily operation of the program, including team practices, drills, and game preparation. Collaborating with the staff to develop and implement training strategies to enhance performance. Contributing to the recruitment process by scouting potential student-athletes, evaluating talent, and participating in campus recruiting. Analyzing video footage and statistical data of matches to provide feedback and areas for improvement. Supporting the student-athletes in their academic and personal development goals. Participating in clinics, exhibitions, and camps as approved by the University. Assisting with various program-related items as needed. Adhering to NCAA, SEC, and University regulations. Assisting in content planning and execution for special events, media days, and game-day initiatives. Performing other duties as assigned. Shift Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required. Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor's degree in a related/relevant area or an equivalent combination of education and experience, along with at least 3 years of experience demonstrating comparable knowledge and skills, is necessary. Preferred Qualifications Prior Softball coaching experience is preferred. Anticipated Hiring Range Salary Range: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
