IT Generalist – Networking & Customer Support We are seeking an IT Generalist with strong networking expertise and customer service skills to manage customer issues from start to finish in dynamic environments. The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to less tech-savvy users. Key Responsibilities User Management: Administer Windows Terminal Server environments (on-premises and hosted). Network Support: Configure and support Fortinet Firewalls and network devices (WAN, LAN, VPN). Remote Troubleshooting: Resolve issues over the phone, including LAN problems, firewall policies, routing, Windows print services, and server backup/recovery. Server Administration: Manage customer servers, user accounts, shared files, and print queues. Firewall Administration: Configure VPNs, manage firewall policies and VLANs, perform basic network troubleshooting. Documentation: Log resolutions accurately in the call tracking system following standards. Collaboration & Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers and team members. On-Call Support: Provide after-hours and emergency support on a rotational basis. Requirements Minimum 2 years in a technical customer support role . CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent skills. Fast and accurate typing with detailed case notes. Strong verbal and written communication skills , able to explain technical concepts to novices. Ability to work independently and utilize resources effectively. Preferred Qualifications Experience with administering and troubleshooting firewalls (CISCO, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.).
