Sales Territory Manager CityView - Remote Since 1982, CityView, a division of Harris, has focused on creating and implementing land and records management and enforcement software for local governments in North America. In fact, CityView was created by former public sector employees. These founders instilled their first-hand experience of local-government needs and challenges into the software they built and the company culture they fostered. We are currently seeking a Sales Representative to join our growing team. This exciting opportunity will involve travelling in a designated territory, learning new technology and working with a reputable company backed by a knowledgeable and experienced team. This role has tremendous growth potential. **Responsibilities**: - Analyze the territory/market’s potential and plan & execute targeted prospecting activities and events to drive leads - Make telephone calls and in-person visits and provide presentations to existing and prospective customers - Develops and executes regional territory sales and marketing plan - Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers. Ensure the quality and timeliness of RFP responses for the territory - Acquire detailed product and service knowledge and stay current of technology developments - Obtain in depth knowledge of competitors and keeps abreast of competitive activities - Record all interactions with customers and prospects in the Salesforce CRM - Build and maintains a sufficient sales pipeline to ensure sales targets are consistently and sustainably met - Forecast bookings and expenses realistically - Participate in trade shows, conferences and customer group meetings - Maintain customer relationships after the sale - Retain a solid understanding of SaaS environments and experience in dealing with C-suite customers What we are looking for - 3-5 years of selling sophisticated software solutions to local governments agencies - You are acquainted with government purchasing cycles, processes and procedures - Ability to learn the software and master the product portfolio - Excellent presentation, demonstration and writing skills - Proven ability to understand scripted demo scenarios and with the support of others, produce and deliver a winning performance - Excellent listening skills - Intellectual curiosity - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience - Persistence, resourcefulness, get-results orientation - High level of integrity with a “can do” attitude. - Exceptional levels of integrity and accountability - A real hunter that is able to consistently repeat a proven sales process - A track record of job stability What we would also love to see - Proven knowledge of the business processes and terminology in local government Community Development departments - Customer service skills and standards - Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team - Attention to details - both financial and technical
