Our team of skilled engineers and technicians tackle new projects, challenges, and issues every day, designing and supporting users' systems and networks so they can focus on their businesses. We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with extensive experience in designing and supporting complex networks and devices to join our team. You will work collaboratively with a team of network engineers and other IT professionals on various environments. This is a fully remote permanent position that requires excellent English communication skills and the ability to work according to a GMT-7 schedule. Job Responsibilities - Network Design and Deployment: Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) - Device Configuration and Installation: Configure and install network devices, particularly Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco products - Network Troubleshooting: Be the final level of support for network troubleshooting on internal and customer environments - Mentorship and Training: Mentor team members on technical issues, train current and future engineers - User Communication: Communicate with users as needed - Documentation: Create and maintain complete technical documentation - Time Tracking: Fully track time and work done on internal and customer tickets and projects - Improvement Suggestions: Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability - On-Call Schedule: Participate in a rotating on-call schedule - Additional Duties: Perform other job-related duties as necessary Required Skills and Experience - Network Fundamentals: Deeply familiar with Switch/Router/Firewall configuration, TCP/IP, Layer 2 (VLAN), and Layer 3 - Wireless Knowledge: Wireless knowledge (802.11x) - Experience: 10+ years of network engineering and architectural experience - Language Skills: B2 minimum English skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS - BGP Experience: Experience with BGP in an MSP or data center environment - Education: Bachelor's degree in network or system engineering Seniority Level Mid-Senior level Employment Type Contract Job Function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting
