We are transforming ourselves into a true engineering organization where we put customer experience and end user support first. As part of this strategy, we are consolidating several of our engineering functions into a single area focused on providing world class engineering to our end user systems. This change is geared towards rethinking how we provide engineering for the services we're responsible for. As a member of the Corporate Technology Support - Workstation Vulnerability Remediation team, the Associate Systems Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day operational support with timely rollout of security patches, ensuring 100% compliance, driving and implementing automation efforts in the Windows/ Mac environment . This role will extensively support the U.S. during business hours. This is a critical role that will work with cross-functional teams on improving processes, finding automation opportunities, working on exceptions with cybersecurity, and other project-based requirements, in addition to operational tasks. Essential Functions Create software packages utilizing Bigfix, JAMF, and SCCM Understand, follow, and implement best practice methodologies for monthly OS patching and vulnerability remediations of third-party software in the environment. Design and implement automated solutions that leverage technological advances, allowing for cost reduction, standardization, and commoditization. Drive innovation and collaboration with global Operations partners to reduce redundant work and improve efficiency. Improve processes and support methodologies by assessing needs and requirements. Manage, triage, and resolve Operations escalations. Be proactive in reducing escalations. Act as the point person for Exception Management/requests. Support U.S. business timings extensively, sometimes over weekends for emergencies. This is a hybrid position. The days in the office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of relevant work experience Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of relevant work experience Excellent communication skills in English Relevant work experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline Strong technical proficiency in Mac OS Technical hands-on packaging skills, ideally in multiple technology stacks like Bigfix, SCCM, JAMF Team player and passionate about contributing to a culture of innovation and flawless execution. Ability to drive technical initiatives and identify opportunities for improving end-user technology. Solid background in Compute and Deploy/Release technologies Understanding of workstation deployment and configuration technologies; experience in highly secure environments is a plus. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with shift-based, geographically distributed teams is preferred. Hands-on experience developing and automating solutions for Mac and/or Windows platforms. Experience with vulnerability assessment tools like Qualys, Fortify, or Appscan is preferred.
