As part of this strategy, we are consolidating several of our engineering functions into a single area focused on providing world-class engineering to our end user systems. This change is geared towards rethinking how we provide engineering for the services we're responsible for. As a member of the Corporate Technology Support - Workstation Vulnerability Remediation team, the Associate Systems Engineer will be responsible for day-to-day operational support with the timely rollout of security patches, ensuring 100% compliance, and driving automation efforts in the Windows and Mac environment . This role will extensively support the U.S. during business hours. It is a critical role that involves working with cross-functional teams to improve processes, identify automation opportunities, handle exceptions with cybersecurity, and support project-based requirements. Essential Functions Create software packages utilizing Bigfix, JAMF, and SCCM. Understand, follow, and implement best practice methodologies for monthly OS patching and vulnerability remediations of third-party software in the environment. Design and implement automated solutions that leverage technological advances, reduce costs, and promote standardization and commoditization. Collaborate with global Operations partners to reduce redundant work and improve efficiency. Assess needs and requirements to improve processes and support methodologies. Manage, triage, and resolve Operations escalations, aiming to reduce them proactively. Act as the point person for Exception Management and requests. Support U.S. business hours extensively, including occasional weekend work for emergencies. This is a hybrid position. The in-office days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience. Excellent communication skills in English. Relevant work experience or a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Strong technical proficiency in Mac OS. Hands-on experience with packaging in multiple technology stacks such as Bigfix, SCCM, JAMF. Team player with a passion for innovation and flawless execution. Ability to drive technical initiatives and improve end-user technology. Solid background in Compute and Deploy/Release technologies. Understanding of workstation deployment and configuration, preferably in secure environments. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience working with shift-based, distributed teams is a plus. Experience developing and automating solutions for Mac and/or Windows platforms. Familiarity with vulnerability assessment tools like Qualys, Fortify, or Appscan. Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages. Visa is an EEO Employer.
