The department is hiring for one provider position, which may be filled by either a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. The University of Missouri Department of Family & Community Medicine seeks an Advanced Practice Provider to deliver primary health care and perform medical services under collaboration with practice physicians. This role involves working with a dynamic team to provide exceptional care, emphasizing diversity and inclusion. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. The position involves seeing Family Medicine patients for ongoing health conditions, preventative, and acute care. Key Duties: Conduct comprehensive health assessments with high autonomy in diagnosis and treatment. Perform patient histories and physical exams; order and interpret diagnostic procedures; monitor patient conditions and lab results; develop treatment plans. Collaborate with physicians on complex cases as per the collaborative agreement. Serve as a resource for patients, families, and healthcare staff. Shift Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Office hours are included. No flexibility for alternative schedules. Minimum Qualifications Physician Assistant licensure by the Missouri State Board of Registration for the Healing Arts. Current Missouri license to practice as a Physician Assistant. Preferred Qualifications Graduation from an AMA-accredited Physician Assistant program with NCCPA certification. At least 2 years of experience in a primary care setting.
