Position Overview: As a Senior Java Developer in our Colombian team, you will lead the development of advanced server-side applications using Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies. Your responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions and mentoring junior team members to promote learning and growth. Key responsibilities: 1. Design, develop, and deploy scalable server-side applications using Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful web services. 2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions aligned with client needs. 3. Optimize application performance and scalability. 4. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering continuous learning. 5. Apply Agile methodologies and Test-Driven Development principles. 6. Implement database integrations using Spring JDBC, JPA, and Hibernate. Must-have skills: - Proficiency in Core Java 1.8+ and Java Spring Boot. - Experience with RESTful/JSON web services, JUnit, Mockito, and CI tools like Jenkins. - Strong understanding of design principles such as SOLID and DRY. - Experience with messaging frameworks and databases. - Proficiency in Git, Unix/Linux, and IntelliJ IDE. Nice-to-have skills: - Experience with cloud deployments, especially Azure. - Knowledge of profiling tools and international software development, including multi-lingual and multi-currency systems.
