**Job Title:** GIS Specialist V- Water About the Role: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented GIS Specialist with strong experience in the Water business line, including projects related to water supply, wastewater, stormwater, flood modeling, and hydraulic infrastructure. - Develop, manage, and analyze spatial data to support water infrastructure planning, design, and asset management. - Produce high-quality maps, layouts, and visualizations for water-related projects using ArcGIS Pro and QGIS. - Create and maintain geodatabases, integrating data from field collection, LiDAR, satellite imagery, and survey sources. - Support hydrological and hydraulic modeling by preparing spatial datasets, visualizing model outputs (e.g., flood extents), and generating technical map deliverables. - Perform spatial and temporal analyses such as watershed delineation, flow direction modeling, and network tracing using tools like ArcHydro, HEC-HMS, and HEC-RAS. - Conduct quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) of GIS datasets and ensure alignment with project and industry standards. - Collaborate with engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers to integrate spatial components into broader project objectives. - Automate GIS processes and workflows using ModelBuilder, Python (ArcPy), or FME. - Create and manage interactive web maps and dashboards via ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Dashboards, and ArcGIS Field Maps. Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Geography, Geoinformatics, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline + a minimum 8 years of professional experience in GIS, with at least 4 years in water infrastructure or hydrology-focused projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. - Strong proficiency in ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, QGIS, and MS Office Suite. - Demonstrated experience in geospatial analysis, database design, and mapping in support of water and environmental projects. - Knowledge of PostGIS, SQL Server, or similar relational databases. - Experience working with large geospatial datasets and various data sources (field, GPS, SCADA, IoT). - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines. - Excellent communication skills, English language competency, both written and verbal. Preferred Requirements: - Experience with water utility GIS platforms (e.g., ESRI Utility Network, InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM). - Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D or other CAD software is a plus but not mandatory. - Proficiency in Python scripting or automation of GIS workflows. - Familiarity with cloud-based GIS environments (e.g., ArcGIS Enterprise, Azure, AWS). - Understanding of environmental regulations and permitting processes in the water sector.
