This is a 100% remote role open to candidates based in Latin America. Key Responsibilities: - Lead Development Projects: Execute advanced data analysis and build interactive web applications using R and Shiny. - Statistical Analysis: Perform sophisticated statistical modeling to uncover insights from complex datasets. - Data Management: Design and maintain efficient data pipelines, ensuring high data integrity and performance. - Application Development: Write, test, and deploy clean, efficient R code for analysis, visualization, and reporting. - Mentorship: Guide junior developers, foster a culture of collaboration, and promote best practices. - Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to design tailored solutions. - Code Quality: Conduct peer code reviews and ensure alignment with development standards. - Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of code, methodologies, and workflows. - Innovation: Stay current with the latest in R/Shiny and data science trends to drive continuous improvement. Required Qualifications: - Experience: 5+ years of professional experience with R, including building Shiny applications. - Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field. - Technical Skills: - Advanced proficiency in R and core packages (e.g., dplyr, ggplot2, tidyr, etc.). - Strong understanding of statistical modeling and data analysis. - Experience with version control (Git) and SQL. - Familiarity with additional languages like Python is a plus. - Soft Skills: - Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. - Comfortable working in fast-paced environments and juggling multiple projects.
