Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced AVD Specialist with expertise in design, implement, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing virtual desktop infrastructure, ensuring security, and enhancing user experience while leveraging automation and management tools. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments using Nerdio Manager for Enterprise/MSPs. Optimize AVD workloads for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability. Configure and manage multi-session Windows 10/11 and Windows Server OS environments. Implement and enforce security best practices, including MFA, conditional access, and role-based access controls. Automate AVD deployment and scaling using Nerdio, PowerShell, and Azure automation tools. Monitor and troubleshoot AVD performance issues, latency, and connectivity problems. Integrate AVD with Azure AD, Microsoft 365, FSLogix, and other enterprise applications. Manage profile containers, storage optimization, and user experience enhancements. Work closely with IT teams to provide support, training, and documentation. Stay updated with the latest AVD and Nerdio features and best practices. Required Qualifications: 3 -4 years of experience in End user technology space Proven experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) design and administration. Strong hands-on experience with Nerdio Manager for Enterprise/MSPs. In-depth knowledge of Azure networking, storage, and compute services. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation. Familiarity with FSLogix profile management and optimization. Experience with security best practices in Azure environments. Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze system logs and performance metrics. Strong communication and documentation skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications: Azure certifications such as AZ-140 (Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop) or AZ-104 (Microsoft Azure Administrator). Experience with other virtual desktop solutions (Citrix, VMware Horizon). Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
