Key Responsibilities: - Owning the design and implementation of backend services that manage liquidity, compliance, and transactional flows; - Shipping clean, well-tested TypeScript code and evolving our architecture as we scale; - Working closely with the founders on everything from API ergonomics to bank core integrations; - Building with an eye toward correctness, observability, and auditability in order to scale the system to billions in volume; - Shaping engineering culture and helping make early hiring decisions. Requirements: - 5+ years of backend experience, ideally building high-uptime systems in fintech, crypto, or banking; - Prior experience working on either fintech/banking compliance systems and/or managing crypto or fiat liquidity; - Track record of building and scaling infrastructure from the ground up; - Strong command of TypeScript; - Comfortable with ambiguity and excited by early-stage execution; - Experience in a remote-first company including strong communication skills and an understanding of building remote-first culture; - Upper-Intermediate English level. Nice to Have: - Familiarity with NestJS; - Familiarity with fp-ts, or other functional programming approaches; - Experience with GCP and/or building in regulated environments (compliance, KYC/AML, etc.); - Experience working with banking cores (e.g. FIS, FiServe, Jack Henry).
