What's the opportunity? We are looking for astrategic and driven Country Manager to lead dLocal’s marketstrategy and partnerships in Colombia, enabling local paymentprocessing for top global merchants. This is an opportunity to makea direct impact on local’s growth by building and optimizing thepayment infrastructure in one of our key markets. What will I bedoing? - Identify, approach, and build strong relationships withacquirers, banks, and key financial partners in Colombia. -Negotiate and execute commercial agreements to support localpayment processing and collection efforts. - Partner with internalteams (product, tech, operations, legal) to integrate localpartners into dLocal’s platform and align on roadmaps. - Monitorand analyze transaction performance and partner impact,implementing improvements as needed. - Improve processes andsystems for local payment methods to ensure scalability andreliability. - Stay informed on local regulations and licensingrequirements, working closely with legal, tax, and accountingexperts to ensure compliance. - Collaborate with the commercial andmerchant teams to develop, refine, and scale key payment productstailored to the Colombian market. - Represent dLocal at industryevents and maintain a strong local network within the fintech andpayments ecosystem. What skills do I need? - Proven experience inthe Colombian payments or financial services industry, with astrong understanding of local payment systems and market dynamics.- Established local network within the banking, fintech, orfinancial services space. - Strong commercial and negotiationskills, with a track record of successfully executing strategicpartnerships and contracts. - Regulatory awareness: Solidunderstanding of Colombia’s regulatory landscape, especially as itrelates to payments and financial services. - Cross-functionalcollaboration experience – you’ve worked effectively with product,tech, legal, and operations teams to deliver business outcomes. -Analytical mindset and a hands-on approach to solving problems andoptimizing performance. - Curiosity, drive, and a positive attitude– you’re always learning and pushing for better outcomes. - Abilityto thrive in ambiguity, with a self-starter attitude and comfortoperating in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. -Technical knowledge (e.g. APIs, payment platforms, integrations) isa strong plus. - Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
