EPAM is searching for a skilled and cooperative Accessibility Consultant to join our team and elevate our accessibility services. In this critical role, you will lead the implementation of digital accessibility initiatives for our clients' products, ensuring an inclusive and superior user experience for all. The successful candidate will be highly driven, experienced, and maintain an expert grasp of accessibility standards and best practices. Your passion for accessibility, strong focus on customer satisfaction, and a demonstrated history of deploying accessible solutions within a software development context will be crucial in delivering inclusive products that align with our clients’ visions and strategies for outstanding digital experiences. Responsibilities Take charge of consultative sales efforts, craft proposals, and make compelling pitches for our accessibility consulting services, ensuring narratives align with EPAM’s capabilities. Facilitate client workshops, steer stakeholder discussions, and manage specific project tasks. Craft and execute a detailed accessibility strategy in coordination with EPAM’s overarching mission. Develop and manage a staffing plan to meet accessibility goals. Champion accessibility efforts at every level, including the executive tier, integrating accessibility into every stage of product development. Organize and lead accessibility training for product teams to equip them with necessary skills for creating accessible products. Keep abreast of accessibility laws, guidelines, and trends to maintain EPAM’s status in compliance leadership. Work closely with product managers, designers, and developers to weave accessibility best practices into both design and development phases. Define and monitor metrics to assess product accessibility, and report findings to leadership consistently. Requirements 8+ years in digital accessibility, with more than 3 years in a leadership capacity. Demonstrated success in implementing and managing accessibility services and initiatives in a software product setting. Previous experience as a client partner, understanding broad client needs and supporting success at an organizational level. Skill in engaging confidently with high-level client executives, conveying challenges effectively, and providing strategic advice. Extensive experience in planning, executing, monitoring, and finalizing projects on time and within scope. Proficiency in accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1, ARIA) and legal requirements (e.g., ADA, Section 508). Familiarity with assistive technologies, such as screen readers and voice recognition software. Experience in leading roadmap strategy and defining accessibility initiatives. Capacity to contribute to technology and product strategy discussions. Strong interpersonal skills and effectiveness in collaborating with cross-functional teams, from developers to designers to legal experts. Customer-focused, resourceful, team-oriented, and capable of working autonomously under time constraints. Nice to have Background in conducting accessibility audits and usability tests, offering detailed, actionable feedback to development, QA, and design teams to enhance product accessibility.
