Plan A Technologies is looking for an experienced and driven Integrations Developer to join our direct and reverse integration processes. This role involves becoming a subject matter expert in our integration APIs, identifying and implementing improvements, and driving the onboarding of new developers in this domain. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Java backend development, system integrations, and API design. This is an exciting job with room for significant career growth. Please note: you must have at least 5+ years of experience with integrations processes to be considered for this role. JOB RESPONSIBILITY 1. Learn and master the architecture and functionality of direct (client integrates with our API) and reverse (we integrate with client APIs) integrations. 2. Serve as the go-to expert for all integration-related queries. 3. Identify, document, and implement enhancements to integration APIs based on client and internal feedback. 4. Apply Enterprise Integration patterns to optimize scalability and interoperability. 5. Lead the onboarding process for new integration developers. 6. Provide mentorship and training to the integration team, fostering a culture of technical excellence. 7. Work closely with product managers, architects, and client teams to align integration workflows with business objectives. 8. Act as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholders to resolve challenges efficiently. 9. Design, develop, and maintain robust integration services using Java and the Spring Boot framework. 10. Ensure high-quality code by writing comprehensive unit and integration tests. 11. Utilize containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and message streaming tools (Kafka). EXPERIENCE 1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 2. 5+ years of backend development experience using Java and Spring Boot. 3. Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, messaging systems, and integration frameworks. 4. Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). 5. Proficiency in using containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes). 6. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Nice to Have: 1. Familiarity with system integrations and Enterprise Integration patterns. 2. Experience in leading technical teams or mentoring developers. 3. Understanding of microservices architecture. 4. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools. 5. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. 6. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. 7. Initiative and drive to do great things.
