The Cloud Engineer role is part of the Modern Apps Platform Engineering team, responsible for creating platform components and services for enterprise-wide use. Is this role right for you? Expertise in designing and managing Cloud Services - IaaS & PaaS Experience in deploying cloud services and automating delivery pipelines Ability to collaborate with engineers and architects on scoping and estimating tasks Proficiency in providing Level 3 support for cloud services Skills in developing and documenting operational procedures Accountabilities Foster a customer-focused culture and deepen client relationships Incorporate risk management into daily activities Ensure operational excellence and compliance with Bank’s values and policies Promote a high-performance, inclusive work environment Education / Experience / Other Information Must have: At least 3+ years of experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform services, including container orchestration, registry, VPC, IaaS, storage, and relational databases. Experience with CI/CD tools like Git, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Enterprise At least 2+ years with GO or other OOP languages Knowledge of cloud security concepts Operational support experience for Azure and Google Cloud B1 level English proficiency Soft skills: Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills in production environments Preferred: Experience with Terraform, configuration management tools, scripting (Bash/Powershell), and familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall methodologies Working Conditions May require non-standard hours for scheduled tasks or on-call support. #LI-Hybrid Location Bogotá or Home-Office ScotiaTech, part of ScotiaGBS in Bogotá, Colombia, supports the Bank’s technology needs.
