The company combines local markets expertise with payment technology enabling global merchants to successfully expand their business into high growth, emerging markets while eliminating the many operational complexities of managing cross-border payments. Our Finance team in Colombia is growing and We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant to monitor and manage accounting and auditing areas and facilitate the implementation of a global accounting systems solution. **Job Duties and Responsibilities**: - Preparing and submitting local tax returns. - Validate, review and support country tax calendars tax audits and tax returns. - Ensuring tax compliance activities (preparation and filing of periodical tax returned such as VAT..) - Maintain tax balances on general ledger. - Review tax practice and methodologies to ensure that they are aligned with standard practices. Monitorization and adaptation to legislative change. - Coordination with finance department on tax accounting issue, and with other departments in other to solve tax questions and control potential tax related issue. - Support to tax audit and tax information request, liaising with local and internal departments as needed. - Coordinating accounting functions and programs. - Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts. - Assisting with annual audit preparations. - Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance. - Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures. - Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned - Manage month-end and year-end close process. - Prepare financial statements and produce month-end financial reporting including Group Consolidation. - Develop and document business processes and accounting policies. - Review and validate modifications to accounting systems and procedures. - Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow. - Review accounting processes and provide suggestions to increase efficiency and simplify processes. - Build strong relationships with business leaders and finance managers. **Requirements**: - Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. - 5+ years of accounting experience. - Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP. - Strong financial analysis skills. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. - Strong organizational and stress management skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel. - Ability to train and manage staff. - Ability to work with little to no supervision - Solid knowledge of IFRS and local GAP. - Strong understanding of economic and banking processes. - Ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Fluent in Spanish and high level of English. **What we offer**: - Competitive salary. - Opportunities to grow within a company in hypergrowth stage. - Excellent work environment and good collaboration. - Fruit, snacks and beverages supply.
