Job Description As a Cybersecurity Specialist , you’ll detect and respond to security threats in real time, manage and optimize critical security tools, and collaborate on designing customized solutions. Your expertise will help shape secure infrastructures for clients across the globe. Job Overview Employment type: Indefinite term type contract Work setup: Work from home / Remote Your Daily Tasks Continuously monitor security logs, SIEM platforms, and alerts to identify potential threats Investigate security incidents, apply corrective measures, and enhance existing protections Conduct in-depth forensic analyses to understand and mitigate incidents Configure, manage, and optimize security tools such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions Perform regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and address security gaps Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies and system hardening protocols Ensure compliance with security standards such as NIST and SOC 2 and track regulatory obligations Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement Write technical reports and document security processes for clients Provide security guidance to clients by offering tailored solutions to meet their needs Participate in managing security incidents affecting client environments Collaborate with other Altanora teams to design and deploy customized security solutions Automate monitoring and incident response tasks by developing scripts and appropriate tools Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats and trends Propose and implement continuous improvements to strengthen Altanora’s security posture Requirements The Qualifications We Seek Degree in cybersecurity, IT, or a related field Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security, system security, or cybersecurity operations Experience in an MSP ( Managed Service Provider ) environment is preferred Expertise in managing firewalls , IDS/IPS , VPNs , and endpoint security solutions Extensive experience with SIEM platforms , log analysis , and security monitoring tools Strong system hardening skills for Windows / Linux environments Solid understanding of cloud security concepts, particularly in Azure Knowledge of scripting ( Python , PowerShell , Bash ) for security automation (a plus) Recognized certifications such as CISSP , CEH , CompTIA Security+, CCNA Security (a plus) Benefits Exciting Perks Await! 5 days work week Weekends off Work from home arrangement 20 vacation days in total (5 leaves convertible to cash) Prepaid medicine Fully-customized Emapta laptop and peripherals Direct exposure to our clients Career growth opportunities Diverse and supportive work environment Prime Office Locations - Bogotá and Medellin Unlimited upskilling through Emapta Academy courses (Want to know more?
