Our client specializes in lodging and accommodation solutions for the airline and crew transportation industry. Established in 1984, they streamline crew logistics, including hotel bookings, transportation, and related services. Their platform automates crew management, supporting over 41,000 crew members from 100+ airlines, with global support from locations in New York, Hong Kong, London, and Sao Paulo. This role requires a candidate with a Java-based web application background, Linux and AWS infrastructure experience, and strong technical, analytical, and communication skills. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, root cause analysis, providing solutions, and creating knowledge articles. Strong performance can lead to further opportunities. Minimum Requirements: Approximately 2 years supporting web-based Java/J2EE applications. BSc/BA in computer science, engineering, or related field (MSc/MA preferred). Knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, Struts, JSF, Node.js, Linux. Experience with Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, TomEE. Understanding of ITIL practices and ITSM tools like Jira Service Desk or ServiceNow. Experience with SOAP/REST web services, XML/JSON. Familiarity with AWS infrastructure. Strong SQL and Oracle skills. Self-motivated, analytical, detail-oriented, team player. Nice to Have: Prior airline domain experience, especially in crew management. Responsibilities: Design, code, and debug software. Perform analysis and testing. Mentor team members. Participate in design, architecture, and client discussions. Maintain production systems and resolve tickets. Assist with testing, deployment, and queries. Investigate issues, escalate when necessary, and document solutions. Monitor systems and respond to alerts. Collaborate with development and client teams.
