Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement elegant solutions, ensuring alignment with best practices and the company’s overarching strategy. Integrate with blockchain technologies and protocols, emphasizing secure connections, data flow, and adaptability to evolving business needs. Stay updated with the latest trends in backend and blockchain development, ensuring Bastion uses optimal technology. Establish scalable architecture to support current business needs while remaining adaptable to future demands and market trends. Must Haves 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience. Strong coding skills in core backend languages (e.g., Python, Scala, Go, or TypeScript). Experience with databases such as Snowflake and Postgres. Proven ability to build compliance tooling in fast-paced environments, especially in fintech or blockchain. Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., AML, KYC, GDPR) and their impact on tech and operations. Experience working with cross-functional teams (product, legal, risk, ops) to ship compliance-focused solutions. Ability to convert complex compliance requirements into scalable, robust backend systems. Customer-centric approach and strong execution mindset. Nice to Haves Prior experience in the blockchain space, especially involving cross-border payments or financial reporting. Familiarity with blockchain protocols and integrations.
