We are seeking an experienced Lead Business Analyst to join our team and play a key role in driving business success. As a subject matter expert, you will have a deep understanding of the insurance value chain, including underwriting, rating calculations, policy servicing, and billing. This role requires strong API requirements skills and the ability to collaborate across business and technical teams to deliver effective solutions. Responsibilities Work closely with the Product Owner, supporting product management activities and taking ownership of specific responsibilities Act as the primary liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring alignment on goals and solutions Conduct daily interactions with business users to analyze and document workflows, business processes, and requirements Collaborate with business and technical partners to create efficient, holistic solutions across multiple systems Ensure that delivered solutions meet business, compliance, and technical requirements Translate business needs into detailed functional requirements and specifications for technical teams Gather and validate business and system requirements using techniques such as walkthroughs, document analysis, and workflow scenarios Write clear, concise, and verifiable requirement statements to ensure accuracy and consistency Support business and technical teams to achieve timely and accurate results Provide business support, troubleshoot issues, and recommend alternative solutions when needed Requirements A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in software development Minimum of 1 year of experience in leadership or team management roles Proven expertise in defining and managing API requirements Experience working in Agile environments, particularly within Scrum teams Ability to identify and translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements Proficiency in creating documentation such as business use cases, process flows, and data flows Experience planning and facilitating requirements gathering sessions, meetings, and presentations Ability to lead review sessions for business and functional requirements, ensuring consensus and approval from stakeholders Collaborate with development and testing teams to leverage out-of-the-box functionality wherever possible Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues effectively Ensure proposed solutions improve efficiency and consistency across business processes and products Participate in planning and developing user acceptance testing activities, including test plans and scripts Facilitate the UAT process and assist project managers in obtaining user acceptance signoff Fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, at a C1 level or higher Nice to have Knowledge of the insurance domain, including industry-specific processes and requirements We offer/Benefits - International projects with top brands - Work with global teams of highly skilled, diverse peers - Healthcare benefits - Employee financial programs - Paid time off and sick leave - Upskilling, reskilling and certification courses - Unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning library and 22,000+ courses - Global career opportunities - Volunteer and community involvement opportunities - EPAM Employee Groups - Award-winning culture recognized by Glassdoor, Newsweek and LinkedIn
