Job Description About the Role: As the Infrastructure Engineering Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of infrastructure design projects and proposals, ensuring compliance with the Italian public procurement code. You will manage both the technical and commercial aspects of projects, working closely with clients such as construction companies and government agencies. Additionally, you will be responsible for the design of record, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all design documents. Responsibilities include: Project Management: Supervise planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects including roads, bridges, utilities, and other public works. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with local regulations and standards. Manage project timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications. Technical Oversight: Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team throughout the project lifecycle. Review and approve design plans, specifications, and technical documents. Ensure all design documents are accurate and meet regulatory requirements. Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure quality and adherence to design specifications. Commercial Management: Oversee preparation and submission of project proposals and bids, ensuring compliance with the Italian public procurement code. Manage project budgets, contracts, and financial performance. Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors. Client Engagement: Work closely with clients to understand their infrastructure needs and provide tailored solutions. Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing concerns promptly. Prepare and present project proposals, reports, and updates to clients and stakeholders. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure all projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices. Conduct quality assurance checks and audits. Implement safety protocols to protect workers and the public. Internal Coordination & Leadership: Support and coordinate engineering activities within the team. Make authoritative decisions and recommendations. Engage with senior management within the company. Demonstrate dispute resolution and negotiation skills. Anticipate and resolve operational problems. Organize programs and develop standards for engineering activities. Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field. +10 years of experience in infrastructure engineering and management. Proven track record in project delivery. Strong knowledge of the Italian public procurement code and local regulations. Leadership and team management skills. Knowledge of infrastructure design and construction processes. Problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant certifications (e.g., PE, PMP) are a plus. Fluent in Italian and English.
