Job Details Under general direction of the Country Manager, manages the daily depot operations including staff and has budgetary responsibility for the depot; also handles complex problems resolution. Fulfills job responsibilities maintaining and assuring compliance with current International Council for Harmonisation (ICH), Good Practice Guidelines (GxP), U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Good Clinical Practices, International Organization for Standardization (ISO) guidelines, or any other as required in the position training program. Responsibilities: - Monitors the overall performance of staff members to ensure compliance with guidelines above. - Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances and record keeping. - Ensures regulatory compliance standards are adhered to and that regulatory information is transferred appropriately to local staff and the corporate compliance team. - Manages the restrictions (scope, cost, time, human resources, etc) in order to guarantee the depot complies with the expected performance indicators. Is aware of the metrics related to depot operations and assure the business continuity taking part in the planning process and business development activities. - Is responsible for the local business development by periodically analyzing metrics (operational, occupancy, financial, etc.) and becomes the initiator of new projects whenever required. - With the assistance of the Country Manager, manages all associate relations functions for the staff such as hiring, terminating and performance management. Evaluates daily performance of personnel in order to analyze a career development for them. - Reviews daily reporting and scheduling of hours worked for the staff. - Identifies and escalates to the Country Manager and the Human Resources any possible issue related to the depot staff that may impact the operational performance and/or working environment, such as change in local regulation, union representation, etc. - Makes recommendations to Regional Operations Manager regarding changes to operating procedures in an effort to facilitate smooth customer services operations. - Leads department meetings and in-service training for staff. - Assures that all Customers' concerns are duly assessed and follows-up the implementation of any preventive/corrective action. Responds to customer inquiries, requests and issues when situations demand escalation to a higher level of authority. - Has deep knowledge about World Courier Depot infrastructure and equipment in order to facilitate the interaction with the local and global engineering and Technical Quality Assurance team. - Assists the Quality Assurance team in the internal audits performed by World Courier Quality Assurance Department providing all the requested information during the process and assuring the completion of all action plans. - With the assistance of Quality Assurance Specialist, is responsible for attending Customers' audits at the Depot. - Collaborates with other company departments in order to make reports in a timely manner. - Required to be available on call 24/7 to provide telephone assistance in case of an emergency or urgent request. Requirements: - Degree in pharmacy / industrial engineering, business administration, management, or related majors from an accredited college. (or related experience in Pharmaceutical Industry) - Ability to demonstrate people management experience in a supervisory role directly related to the role, including a minimum of one (1) year in a management role and preferably in the Clinical Trial business. - Full command of English: written and oral skills. . Skills and Knowledge: - Ability to work quickly and accurately under time and volume constraints as well as under pressure. - Strong decision-making skills. - Strong interpersonal skills. - Strong leadership skills. - Good analytical skills. - Ability to resolve customer issues quickly and creatively in order to improve customer satisfaction - Strong organizational skills, attention to detail. - Be able to take initiatives and responsibilities. - Basic computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
