Responsibilities Hold and define the gameplay vision ensuring it aligns with the product’s goals and player expectations Define or prototype gameplay features, focusing on validating the experience and game feel Architect gameplay systems following clear documentation standards aimed to bring clarity to all areas of development Mentor and guide other designers by clearly communicating design intentions and expectations, and collaborating to ensure that your systems and mechanics integrate smoothly with the rest of the game. Provide and receive feedback related to the state of the game Work closely with Design and creative leadership to refine and realize the vision of the game Communicate the intended experience and guide the team towards the product’s goals Use Unreal Engine or UEFN environment to balance, tune and configure gameplay systems Provide multiple design solutions and articulate trade offs between different options in search of improving the game Playtest the game and provide clear feedback on how all areas of development can iterate in the experience Work directly with product, production, art, animation and all areas of development to coordinate the narrative identity and effort of the game Requirements 3+ years of experience as a Game Designer, Scriptwriter, or in equivalent roles Proven experience working on FPS, third-person shooters, VR, or similar genres Knowledge on implementing features and design in Unreal Engine or UEFN Degree in Writing, Literature, Film, Game Design, or a related field Deep understanding of non-linear storytelling, narrative delivery systems, and game production Ability to pitch and write story outlines, cinematics, trailers, and dialogue Experience collaborating with design and narrative teams to shape immersive experiences Ensuring emotional consistency in characters, environments, and gameplay Strong skills in defining in-game texts (dialogues, notes, headlines) with thematic coherence Excellent verbal and written communication skills Familiarity with agile development methodologies Passion for playing and making games Benefits (*Some benefits vary by location) Flexible working hours. 15 paid vacation days.
